So many wonderful childhood memories of Ancona's!! My family lived in Ridgefield many moons ago and used to shop here all through the 1980's into the early '90's !!! Wonder if you guys still carry those zoo animal crackers that came in the circus box ??? With the little string handle??
I didn't have time to prepare Christmas dinner properly for my family. We have assorted allergies...gluten, dairy soy fructose ...At the last minute I asked Anconas if I could order a roasted turkey - plain just herbs salt and pepper. When I picked it up it came with a huge container of gluten free gravy! and unexpected bonus for some of the group. AND... the turkey was the Best we've ever had. This is my favorite, "go to" grocer for best selection of locally grown foods across a wide selection of categories. Also has good selection of organic foods. People very helpful - from checking on how you are finding things, talking about the products and responding to requests to carry products of interest. The owners seem to have a sincere, long term interest in providing environmentally sensitive that goes beyond the "green" fad. It is open early in the am so you can pick things up on the way to work.
