Very fun, not hard at all though it can still be physically tiring. The hike was very beautiful, especially with the sections of board reinforced path, though part of it was still considered rugged terrain. Noelani was a bubbly leader with a good sense of humor and a talent at making flowers out of leaves. Unfortunately for us it was dry that week so Wailua Falls wasn't flowing a lot, but still wonderful to see.

We had an absolute blast. Our guide Sierra was knowledgeable about the hike, plants, and animals. She also had great tips about where else to go on the island. Beautiful scenery and the hike was the perfect length to a wonderful and refreshing destination.

What an amazing and fun experience! Although water levels were low, the guide, Ty was great! Fun, energetic, informative and ensured everyone was safe! My only comment was that the sandwiches were too small. I was still pretty hungry after lunch. But then again, I have a big appetite. Thanks for a great experience!!

Ancient River is the best deal for Wailua River excursions. Their price covers everything: not just equipment, but also lunch, snacks, water, and transportation. The other companies I checked charged the same price without covering all of those. Tyler was a fantastic guide: fun, personable, and very knowledgeable about the island, its history, and its nature. I highly recommend taking this tour with him! One tip: definitely wear water shoes. The hike to the waterfall involves fording the river and several tributaries.
