Me and my two friends had an amazing time with Captain Mitchell! His knowledge and experience made us feel completely safe, and he still kept the whole trip fun and relaxed. He knew all the best spots around the islands and made sure we were enjoying ourselves the entire time. Couldn't have asked for a better captain -- highly recommend!
My husband and I chartered a 27' Ranger Tug this summer for the first time, and I cannot say enough about Mitchell! His mix of humor, pragmatism, and experience were just right and made us feel confident about setting off on our own the next day. Request him specifically if you can. You won't regret it.

My husband and I chartered a 32’ Nordic Tug with AYC for a week long cruise-and-learn. We started with 2-1/2 days with Mitch as our instructor and learned the basics of boat operation, check-out and docking. Mitch is very knowledgeable and helped us learn the skills necessary to safely take the boat out on our own. After dropping him at Friday Harbor, we had a lovely cruise and stay at Roche Harbor for three nights. The boat (Artemis) was great and very roomy for two. We will be back for more!
Mitch spent 2 days with my husband and me on a 29' boat teaching us how to dock, run the lines, inspect systems, and generally give us the confidence to charter something in the future. He was incredibly thorough and also fun to hang out with!
