After nine months of being undiagnosed, multiple Cath Lab visits, and unsuccessful medication attempts, I was finally referred to Dr. Islam by my endocrinologist. That referral changed and truly saved my life. Dr. Islam performed a total thyroidectomy, and within just four days I felt like myself again. After months of living in fear and uncertainty, I finally have my life back and can look toward the future with hope. Dr. Islam is not only an exceptional surgeon but also compassionate, confident, and reassuring during a ver... read more

I attempted to get a second opinion with another surgeon within the UTSW complex thru Dr. Islam, as their protocol requires. Someone intercepted my message to h... read more

My experience with Dr. Ana Islam was very disappointing. She displays no professionalism or dedication, and lacks empathy and love for her fellow human beings. During the consultation, she was cold, impatient, and unwilling to explain clearly, which creates mistrust during such a delicate time as cancer treatment. I do not recommend her.
