I saw Dr. Amy Zavell a couple of months ago for a skin issue on my ankle, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. She seemed rushed during the appointment and didn’t take the time to listen to my concerns properly. The diagnosis felt vague, and the treatment she prescribed didn’t help much. I expected a more thorough examination and clearer guidance on what to do next. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend her based on my visit.
This physician is good for cosmetics, but if you have a skin sickness, find yourself a real physician.
I have been seeing Dr. Zavell for about two years. I have many, many skin issues, including multiple skin cancers over the years. She is very thorough in keeping track of my conditions, and whenever biopsies are needed she contacts me with the results as soon as they are back. Also much appreciated is that you don't have to wait 3-4 months to get in to see her like you do with the others. I couldn't recommend her more.
Dr. Zavell is amazing at taking the time to explain everything in detail regarding your diagnosis, treatment plan and options, if you have more than one, to determine what is best for you, but she gives you the last word on what you prefer to do. My first time to a dermatologist. Staff was nice. Thorough check. Good instructions. Mostly timely. I would definitely recommend. Didn’t take long to get it, which is hard in any medical place lately.
