I’ve been at Dr. Shaw’s since 2021. She has always listened to my concerns and scheduled my appointment if I felt off. She helped keep my thyroid levels in range during and after my pregnancy. I also love that appointment times are super quick for just bloodwork check ins. Phlebotomists there are great too.
Dr. Shaw is a breath of fresh air for me. I was struggling to have a Dr understand what I’m feeling. She was there to listen and really hear me. She came up with a game plan to help me start feeling my best! I am beyond grateful for her kindness and support. Would recommend her 100%!
I have no idea why all the bad reviews. I have been seen by Dr. Shaw a few times and didn't have a bad experience. Dr. Shaw is slow to prescribe a pill and is more focused on making sure I pull my weight in being healthy. To my understanding, this is pique doctor behavior. I had overactive thyroid due to covid which eventually stabilized on it's own without the need for medical intervention. After 3 years as a patient, I was dropped without help when my insurance changed—while 18 weeks pregnant, high risk, and with Hashimoto’s. They canceled my appointments, offered no referrals, and the nurse on the phone was rude. Completely lacking compassion or concern for patient care.
I had been a patient of Dr. Shaw for 4+ years. My most recent visit was like all the rest. A brief visit with the doc and blood draw. The lab had been doing ankle draws for me for 14 visits, without any problem. I was informed that they could not do it that way a longer with no reason given. I asked for a reason and was told I'd have to go to another facility. No one could answer my question (I believe I was entitled to a reason).
