I Think Amy Miles is a great asset to the community. She is thorough and our family found her to take the time needed to care for us well. She sent us for blood work before we went off to a endocrinologist/oncologist in Oakland. The oncologist wanted to know who our doctor was. She said when I see test like yours ordered I know the doctor know what they are doing. I am amazed that a small town Like Cambridge springs can keep a doctor like Dr. Miles. Glad to have her for our family.
Dr. Miles is the most knowledgeable, caring, and thorough doctor I've ever had. Her nurses and PA are very nice to work with as well. Took time to get used to the receptionist and it always takes forever to get calls back. However, overall we are very pleased with Dr. Miles.
Dr. Miles is a kind, caring, down to earth doctor. She is someone you can feel comfortable with. She is hands down, the best doctor I have ever had. Unfortunately, since being taken over by UPMC the customer care, wait time and other changes have negatively affected the practice. It went from a lovely small town practice, to another run of the mill "push patients through like a herd of elephants" kind of practice. This is beyond the control of the doctor,so I do not lay the blame on her.
The doctor is great, that is why the 2 stars, or they would get none, be prepared to wait over 1h to see the doctor, average is 45 min, also to wait several hours for someone call back, I do not mean 2-3 hours, I mean 6-7, or nobody call back at all, need to ask something for the nurse? Forget it, the phone is always busy and she won't call you back, they cancel app within minutes of the app, the prescription is never sent o the same day, etc the doc is truly awesome, but her office is a mess.
She didn't like me from day #1.Have diabetes and high blood pressure. Never put me on on medication to treat my high bp or my diabetic spells.. I tried to tell her over and over again that I was experiencing numbness from the waist down.. she never referred me to a nureologist.. I have all the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.. I'm 53 and can barely walk. She didn't care..
The doctor is great but her receptionists are RUDE. Might change doctors which is unfortunate.
