Dr. Halverson has been my colo-rectal surgeon for over twenty years. Dr. Halverson came highly recommended by several physicians I trust completely. After a couple of months from serious bowel surgery and a full and speedy recovery, I can say that Dr Amy Halverson and her staff did a wonderful job with me. A few hours after surgery I was able to walk without help and have a normal diet. In two weeks time after surgery I could have moderate physical activity. After six weeks I was back to normal and practice outdoor sports. Finally, after three months the scars were barely visible. I can just say I will be forever grateful.
Dr. Halverson has been caring for me for over 15 years now. She is knowledgeable and experienced, compassionate and caring. When I have been hospitalized for GI-tract issues with a surgical need, she is the only surgeon I want to see. I trust her implicitly. I cannot praise her highly enough. I would recommend her to anyone needing a colo-rectal surgeon. She is, without a doubt, one of the finest surgeons and individuals with whom I have had the pleasure of working.
It takes a long time to schedule an appointment with her. She does not communicate with patients or answer your questions clearly. She failed even a simple surgery and does not offer much help afterwards. Please just find someone else.
