Tried to make an appointment, but was denied cause my pcp wasn't with ochner. Called a few others, same thing. That's beyond stupid,. Now that takes out over 40 different psychs out of my insurance pool. I dont live by a ochner hospital to have you as my pcp, but i was willing to drive for a psych dr.
Dr. Copeland saved my life!! I had a Dr. giving me klonopin for several months, and then stopped abruptly!! I didn't realize how addictive that drug was that he had me on. As a result of me running out of my medication, I was crying, shaking, etc. I also could've had seizures, and died!! This lady had to slowly ween me off, with a lower dosage, along with visteril for the side effects. I highly recommend her to EVERYONE!!!!

Let me first of all say I had one bad experience with a psychiatrist almost 10 years ago. I never returned or even wanted to see another psychiatrist. Dr. Copeland is a breath of fresh air. She is very down to earth. She actually LISTENED to my concerns. She didn't just hear my symptoms, provide me with a prescription, and send me on my way. She made me feel like a human being. I didn't feel judged either, which is a great thing. She is very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her.
