I hate that my company uses this service for travel. It is so inconvenient for me as a traveler and seems to always have problems. I don’t think I’ve been able to check into a hotel without some sort of issue with payment because either they haven’t sent over the credit card authorization or the virtual credit card that’s been set up doesn’t work. My girlfriend won a wonderful trip to Bonaire from The Price Is Right and we had to book it through AmTrav. We were a little worried that the trip wasn't going to be booked correctly because of past experiences that we've had with other travel agencies; and, as we had feared, when we gave our preferred departure times and days, we didn't get what we wanted.
