Took a train from Vancouver, BC, to Seattle, WA, on July 7th. It was 93 degrees Fahrenheit outside and the AC was not working in half of the cars. The crew was aware of this beforehand and loaded passengers in anyway. It was a crowded, miserable trip that was oversold on top of the heat. By the time we crossed the border, it was over 100 degrees inside the car. When I asked for pricing from Salem Oregon to Seattle Washington they kept giving me info on trips from Washington DC to Florida.

Amtrak is a joke. Was delayed in Portland for over an hour with no compensation, no reimbursement, nothing. They didn't even inform us how long we would be waiting until we had already been waiting over half an hour for the train to move. Utterly despicable treatment of guests. Will not be riding again.
