The Amsterdam is one of the best places to have a beer downtown. They have plenty of unique beers on tap and the prices are great. The music is tops. There is a patio outside that is great for a night of people watching on Central. Warning it is not a quiet place to talk to your friends and read your book but if you like great inexpensive beer and loud music the Amsterdam is your place.

This place is great! Plenty of beer selection and always some new local art to look at! The bar staff is always knowledgeable about all of the different rotating taps and are eager to help you find something you like. They may have the biggest selection of meads and ciders around downtown. Monday nights always have the best music...jam band night always brings all sorts of local talent!
