John was absolutely fantastic!! I’ve had my hair cut here a few times by him and every time he’s polite, friendly, does a fantastic job. Not super talkative which I appreciate as neither am I. As someone who is transmasc, his insistence upon using my correct pronouns was incredibly refreshing and really made my day. Shop is always clean and well-organized with lots of great people working there. I will continue to come back again and again
We’ve been coming here since moving to Middletown and every barber we’ve had has done a phenomenal job with my two year old. He loves coming to get his haircut!
I usually go to the one in Newark but today I stopped at the Middletown shop for a haircut. Big mistake. First thing as I sat in barber chair I noticed the neat toolboxs they used at each barbors station. Then I saw all the dust and dirt on the drawers and tops. The mirrors to each station were dirty and the floors under each chair had a weeks worth of hair clippings. Ceiling tiles were loose and damaged. It's obvious that the employees and owner have no pride in this shop.
