My 1993 Mazda MX5 Miata had a lifter rattle when it started and slowly went away as it warmed up. I hated it! I didn't want to start it up when anyone was listening! I spoke with Lisa at a car show,she did some research found a Mazda bulletin describing the problem, and referred me to an Amsoil engine flush. and I Used it and followed up with the Recommended oil and filter Lisa suggested.
