As I imagined, the hour trip to Islip to see Dr. Chiluwal was well worth it. He is a very nice guy, low keyed and very knowledgeable about spinal & nerve conditions. He was very knowledgeable of my condition of spinal stenosis. He put me at ease with respect to my condition and the possibility of surgery. He answered all of my questions. I consult with Dr Chiluwal with my issue. After reviewing Mri Scans he said to me I need a Spine Fusion L4. He then said to me after Surgery you going to be out from work for couple of weeks can you afford to stay home at that time i said to myself this guy really concen for me and my family he care. . Review keeps getting deleted. Surgery with Dr chiluwal just left me in more pain and more problems.
Dr. Amrit Chiluwal,did my back surgery in 2023 and he is the best ,his bedside ,manner and patients explaining things He's such a wonderful Dr. I would recommend this neurosurgeon to anybody with nerve back problems He's one of the best, I have absolutely no back pain he also did my upper back that was going scoliosis and he did everything at one time and he was amazing. I had a spine surgery L5-S1 with Dr Chiluwal 2/16/26 and unfortunately for me, I’m worse off now than before the surgery. PLEASE be careful so you don’t make the same mistake as me and end up in my same situation(it’s not fun), he doesn’t check up if it’s not a smooth sail, and he lowered my quality of life after pretty much guaranteeing me I’ll be way better after.
