They are guilty of deceptive and fraudulent billing practices. Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practice statute clearly protects the consumer from "a doctor fails to fully disclose the price of the medical treatment or services to be rendered". I plainly requested a new patient visit and was quoted $114 for uninsured patient. They billed us $479 for services which were not requested nor performed.
