Worst experience I’ve ever had other than Bank of America, which says a lot! There is ZERO regard for customer service or helping clients, run, don’t walk away! I’ve had a mortgage both 1st and 2nd liens with Amplify for about 40 months. Recently, I scheduled my mortgage payments for Jan 16th. I have multiple business accounts, including with Amplify. Amplify does not seem to be suited to serving business customers. It’s a non-holiday Tuesday and there is no method for transferring money from one business account to another without me physically driving from one location to another. There are no employees working in the commercial accounts department today and no one available to help me with a wire by phone. Excellent customer service! The staff are always efficient and friendly. The biggest downside is the app is nearly useless for depositing checks, well over half fail and require a trip to the bank. After electronic bill pay, this is the most important function of a bank and I have taken to depositing checks to a different institution.
I’ve been a customer of Amplify since before they were Amplify. The last 12 years I’ve not lived in the Austin area but continued to use their services. Banking online with Amplify is excellent. They don’t have the fanciest app or the most compatibility with third party connections, but their phone service is TOP NOTCH. I’ve not received better phone service from any other bank I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a few since moving away from Austin.
