We tried to stay in the Presidential Suite while we looked for a new home in the area. Take a look at the pics. Does it look Presidential? Not to mention it was freezing inside, because they hadn’t turned the heat on. I tried to show some grace to the host, but he was so rude. He acted as if I was somehow inconveniencing him, because we expected both toilets to work and for the place to be clean. He actually told me he was irritated with him for complaining. Cabin was much smaller than expected. Front porch was horribly cramped with a grill and an a/c unit. No way it could sleep 6 comfortably, the attic bedrooms were 150 degrees. The mosquitoes were worse inside than outside. There was no cable in the room. Not a big deal but when a tornado was ripping through where we live, having access to the news would have been helpful. Ok….never got the chance to experience a stay there, i’ll admit to making the reservation in haste, but there was a timer on the screen rushing me to go through and i paid in full. i canceled the next day, and had to chase him down to acknowledge the cancellation. i wanted a refund minus the 10% booking fee. he finally acknowledged the cancellation, not with a number but with a “thank you”. it’s been a few weeks and several emails now, apparently he has no intention of issuing a refund…what does he care? the place is up for ... read more

It was our wedding anniversary and we spent the evening at Sunset Bistro. The food was outstanding, from the appetizers, our main course and desert. Our desert came with Happy Anniversary in chocolate on the plate. Our server, Zoe, was top notch. She recommended excellent wine choices and menu choices. There was also live entertainment! A perfect night!
