Sunset Bistro is the best restaurant experience in the region. Especially on a pleasant evening on their great deck overlooking Ambersand Bay of Lower Saranac Lake. Food was excellent, and the service unbeatable. Great vibes all around.
Upon arrival, the door to our cabin (Cedar) was wide open, with towels on the floor and the beds not made. I called and left a message. Brian quickly called me back and apologized that there was an issue getting the booking from Expedia. We were offered drinks/food while the cabin was cleaned. Appreciated the quick assist. Our group of hikers stayed in the Presidential Suite from June 8-10... Unbelievable! The Saranac Lake location is wonderful, and we were able to take advantage of a pontoon boat tour of the lake. The suite is ideal for a peaceful overlook of the lake. The restaurant is also amazing. Based on our experience, the food ranks best in the region - topping the 'over-hyped' restaurants in Lake Placid.
