It was our wedding anniversary and we spent the evening at Sunset Bistro. The food was outstanding, from the appetizers, our main course and desert. Our desert came with Happy Anniversary in chocolate on the plate. Our server, Zoe, was top notch. She recommended excellent wine choices and menu choices. There was also live entertainment! A perfect night!

Sunset Bistro is the best restaurant experience in the region. Especially on a pleasant evening on their great deck overlooking Ambersand Bay of Lower Saranac Lake. Food was excellent, and the service unbeatable. Great vibes all around.

Upon arrival, the door to our cabin (Cedar) was wide open, with towels on the floor and the beds not made. I called and left a message. Brian quickly called me back and apologized that there was an issue getting the booking from Expedia. We were offered drinks/food while the cabin was cleaned. Appreciated the quick assist. I understood that it was a rustic cabin, but the exterior could use some maintenance... A couple of broken window panes, boards coming off the cabin, shingles very old... Our group of hikers stayed in the Presidential Suite from June 8-10... Unbelievable! The Saranac Lake location is wonderful, and we were able to take advantage of a pontoon boat tour of the lake. The suite is ideal for a peaceful overlook of the lake. The restaurant is also amazing. Based on our experience, the food ranks best in the region - topping the 'over-hyped' restaurants in Lake Placid.
