I want to share my honest experience to help others go in with their eyes open. When I signed up, I clearly told the general manager I would not commit to a long-term training plan. I paid cash for what I understood to be a single session. I later found out I had been enrolled in a 12-month personal training contract at $42 every two weeks, something I never agreed to. Amped Fitness Fort Myers has become a gym that corporate has completely forgotten about. The basketball court has been “under construction” for years, half the equipment never works, there’s dust everywhere, visible mold, trash all over the place, and nothing ever seems to get cleaned. The only improvement they’ve made is changing the lights to bright white. ⭐☆☆☆☆ I enrolled at Amped Fitness specifically for one-on-one Pilates training with a particular trainer. Shortly after signing up, I was informed that the trainer I signed up for would no longer be providing those services and that I would be reassigned. After this major change, I attempted to cancel my agreement in writing within the required timeframe. every year, they bill for an annual fee to support improvements and upgrades, yet the machines need attention including threadmills, and constant junk. Money doesn't get reinvested but pads their bottom line. Also numerous billing issues. They reduced optons for the premium membership including no classes, yet when you down grade your membership, they continue to bill you at the higher level. Their personal Trainer, Kaz likes to shove his female clients. Also the General Manager Dakota Dillion was given a week to address this issue but both times when he was addressed about this all he did was chuckle and just did nothing.
