Couldn't agree with the previous five star reviews more --- it is so seldom the case that you find a provider that is caring, informed, approachable and willing to take the time to get to know his patient. He approaches his job in a collaborative manner never once making the patient feel inferior or unheard --- it is also apparent in his demeanor towards the support staff. I doubt anyone wants to have a liver issue but if you do don't hesitate to get in to see him

The best doctor I have ever had the fortune to be a patient of (for hepatology as well as just overall). Dr. Asgharpour is continually supportive, explains and clarifies in an upfront, non-demeaning manner, and makes personalized suggestions regarding my health. He was willing to keep me on as a patient per my request after the VCU Hepatology Dept had reassigned me to a different team. I’d give him ten out five stars.
