Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience at Ammerose, 100 stars out of 5 :) It was my first time at the salon, and the moment I walked in, I knew I was in the right place. I was lucky to get V, she’s so warm, welcoming, charming, and a true super pro. She installed a full head of double-ended dreadlocks in under 5 hours, and the result was flawless (I even got some awesome hair jewellery!). Unfortunately, I will not be returning to do business here. I paid a deposit and was charged $150 for braids and $10 for taxes, plus the $40 I gave for the "deposit." The hairdresser, Aminata, was greedy and also sold me an open 2-pack of wave caps, even though she knew one was missing. Luckily, I realized it later. And mind you, my hair wasn't too long. Kenta is phenomenal! He did the most incredible cornrows for me. They are so clean, precise, and stylish. The entire process was comfortable, and he was so easy to talk to. The salon has a great vibe. 10/10 recommend asking for Kenta—you won't be disappointed!

Took my girlfriend here for her first hair styling experience in Vancouver. She is mixed race with curly hair and has always been worried about getting her hair styled. This place was wonderful! They were able to work off provided reference photos and styled my girlfriends hair amazingly! We both love it! What may have been even better than the styling was the customer service.
