The absolute worst doctor I have ever met. His bedside manner was horrendous. I was admitted to the hospital and without letting me know, he changed the plan that the two other doctors had set for my care. When I asked him about it, he became defensive and abrasive. I was forced into undergoing multiple tests that the other doctors did not want me to go through. Thank you, Dr. Amitkumar Patel, for saving my life. On May 2, I underwent hip replacement surgery. On May 4 night, I felt like I was dying; called the nurse but no doctor came. On may 5, thank God, Dr Patel came for his daily visit. Hearing about the incident, he prescribed a CT Scan. This revealed a blood cloth in my left lung. I was put immediately on cumadin. Without Dr. Patel's intervention, I don't think I would have been abble to write this. Thank you again, Sanda Loga, PhD.
