I like Dr. Maturu, she's a good listener and always responds when I message her in MyChart. She monitors my thyroid levels closely and makes me stay in range even when I'd rather take high doses to try to manage my weight. Darn it.
Dr Maturu was fine. He office policy of not allowing a pharmacy to text a refill request and to require me to call the office and request one is like no other place I have ever been. I ran out of insulin because they ignored repeated texts and phone calls. Their staff gets a ZERO.
My experience with Dr. Maturu falls short of other expenses at Ohio Health. Disappointed in the care and follow up. May be time to check out Ohio State endocrinology.
Dr maturu is the best doctor I've ever been to! I would never want to see a different endocrinologist. She books far out and in my opinion that says something. That says that everyone wants to go to her and that she's good at what she does. She's personable and thorough. During my pregnancy I ended up just seeing my OBGYN to save on multiple doctor visits and blood work but Dr maturu message me back every time I kept her in the loop with my pregnancy or my lab results or anything else that was going on with my body.
