This is the most disturbing, disgusting, disorganized place that I have ever experienced. They promised us to help with my wife and her situation but in reality they talked the talk but didn’t walk the walk. If anything there were a number of individuals that were not trained to deal with dementia. It appeared to me that there was mass confusion as to who, why and how they were going to deal with any situation. It's a lovely bldg. Lynn gave my son and me a good tour. She spent time sitting with us first to talk about what I was looking for etc. it's certainly one of my considerations when I decide to move.. Prices were higher than I expected. Thanks Lynn. Valerie
I was honestly blown away by the end to end experience at Amica Whitby. Katarina is such a valuable asset to the brand and she was detailed, patient and so warm to both me and my mum. She was also very transparent about costs upfront which I appreciated instead of getting hooked in and then being told about add ons. Overall every staff member we met was friendly, the facility was spotless and the ambience was friendly. Overall it did not feel like a retirement home but more like a resort or cruise.
