In 2023, when adding my teen to my auto policy, the agent recommended that I contact Amica once my teen entered college, to request a premium adjustment, as they would no longer be driving daily. So I just called as recommended and was told by the agent that Amica had incorrectly coded my teen as being married, and that my six month premium would now increase by over $200 as a result of the error correction. Easily the most hated company in 2025. I asked for a quote months ago. They were too expensive - I went with Erie instead. But since then, every week they mail me physical spam mail to my home with an invitation to call for a quote. No ability to opt out. No interest by Amica in reducing their carbon footprint nor thinking about their impact on the environment. When I called, I get talked to rudely and told "there is a nationwide no-junk-mail service you can opt into" (for a fee and which I already opted into to no avail.) I... read more
