I was told by Aug Psych Assoc that Elizabeth Cianciolo offers gender affirming therapy. However, I was met with "in my 30 years of experience, teens don't often know their sexual identity and come to regret their choices" Which is the EXACT opposite the UVA physicians and every other piece of literature I've read on transgender teens says. If you want someone close minded - by all means, she's your girl.
We had our daughter evaluated by Dr. Cianciolo for ADHD. She claimed her diagnosis did not show ADHD, but everything she diagnosed was inline with children who have ADHD. I had to send her several verified examples, one from a Pearson medical textbook and the other from the National of Institute of Health website, that showed her evaluation was not what she thought. Please do not waste your time going to this lady. Her research and knowledge of current ADHD symptoms are outdated.
