I have nothing but good things to say about this animal hospital. They were welcoming and informative and recently helped us through a very difficult time. My cat developed hyperthyroidism. They diagnosed her, presented me with several options for treatment and guided me through the process. Unfortunately, she continued to digress and developed additional health issues. For a first time visit I was very very impressed. The Vet was knowledgeable, kind, practical, and affordable! He and the techs were wonderful to talk to, and were very helpful in helping my poor little pet chicken Mr. Pippin with his leg. I plan on using this Clinic again, and actually setting up appointments for my other pets.
This clinic is fantastic. I am from Upstate NY and just moved to the area with my cat. I could not have asked for a more polite, explicit vet that went above and beyond to make me and my pet feel comfortable. They answered all of my questions, suggested things I may need and various options so that I didn't feel pressured like I only had one expensive option. I would DEFINITELY recommend this clinic to a friend!
Dr. Rosseel is one of the few vets in the area who sees exotics. I take my rabbit, parrots, and tortoises to him, and he does a fantastic job with all of them. He and his staff are very calm and professional, and are adept at handling both tiny parrots and giant dogs. Amherst Veterinary does some in-house bloodwork, and sells Harrison's parrot pellets.
