Being admitted through Kenmore Mercy's ER, I did not get to pick my surgeon. I thank my lucky stars that Dr. Silva was the doc on call 3/14/15 when I needed an emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder. He answered all my questions in a comforting and reassuring manner. I marvel at the four tiny scars from the laprascopic (Ha ! Even spellcheck can't offer correction !) procedure. Perhaps in his spare time he could teach a class : "Bedside Manner" because he has it mastered ! Sure hope I won"t need his services ever again b... read more
Dr. Silva recently removed my gallbladder. I was recommended to have it removed quite a while ago, but the surgeon I was sent to was so arrogant, I did not want anything to do with him! To the contrary, Dr. Silva has an excellent "bedside manner" and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He described it detail what the procedure entailed; and he freely answered ALL of my questions. He was never aloof or condescending and always seemed genuinely concerned. I am recovering nicely and would highly recommend him :)
