Excellent animal hospital We have been taking our animals (2 cats and 1 dog) here for 13 years and we are very pleased with this animal hospital. When we had to say goodbye to one of our cats and the staff was the best - very understanding and caring. As far as regular stuff, they offer options, some cost money, some don't, and they are very understanding and allow us to decide how we want to proceed with our pets. I have only positive things to say about amherst animal hospital

Professional people provide through care Dr. Hollengreen & staff have cared for our two dogs for the last 9 years and we are really very pleased in all aspects for the help our pets have received! When one of our dogs died in 2008, Dr. Hollengreen was always there when I needed her whether by phone or in the office. She helped me through the daily crisis of his illness and the final day, she was thoughtful and gently to my dog & me. Exactly what we both needed. I will always remember her fondly in that time of great sorrow. ... read more

phantom I started bringing my dogs here about 7 yrs ago when our husky started running into walls. I was a nervous wreck having to think the worst and one call and they made things better. They diagnose our dog with glaucoma and referred us to a specialist right away. They also did research on Glaucoma and purchased a tester for glaucoma just for our visits. After many visits to the vets our dog was able to recover but blind. We brought our other husky there when I accidentally stepped on his paw and broke it. They took us i... read more

Great Care YES it is expensive. Point me to a vet in Southern NH that ISN'T expensive, they all are, and all vets around here have the SAME rates and some that are MORE expensive. I started taking my pet rats here about 10 years ago, now I take my dogs, cats, guinea pigs and yes my current rats here. They are wonderful about seeing me quickly in an emergency. My dog had to get stitches and they took her in right away. YES there WAS an emergency service fee. So what? You'll find that anywhere. They cared for my dog/cat/rat et... read more

Amherst Animal Hospital is Great and caring I couldn't ask for better care when my cat was rushed in with a high fever. I love Dr. Hollengreen and Dr. Hotz was excellent. I found one front staff and the office manager so caring when I had to make the tuff decision that my cat had to be put down. They both gave a hugs and was crying with me. They have been there for my animals sick, weel or when I had to put them to sleep.

Great Hospital I have been a client for several years and this is an awesome an hospital and they truly care for your pets. The technicians on staff are very knowledgeable, my dogs have taken a liking to Bonnie, who is very sweet and great with little dogs! She can even do a small dental cleaning without anesthesia! The other technicians are also wonderful and passionate about their job. The doctors here care and do the best they can with their clients concerns. I have seen Dr. Hollengreen, Dr. Lemay, Dr. Hotz and Dr. Brown ... read more

Amherst Animal Hospital The front end staff is lacking but the Doctors make up for it. They have always treated my dog well and they have been gentle with him. My dog response well to them. I trust them and the prices are fair.

I trust no one else We were first introduced to AAH through a grange member when Newbie ingested part of an indoor/outdoor carpet. She needed surgery to remove the strip from he intestine. Dr. Monochelli was wonderful through this experience. We have had to put down two (one being Newbie) of our girls for health reasons. Dr. Hotz was so understanding and compassionate. I don't know who was more upset (of course me) when Newbie was put down.
