I have been with Amherst Alarm for years and years. When I was having issues with my alarms not working and constantly making chirping noises, I reached out to ask for a service call. They told me that we had an outstanding balance of $90 and they would not come out unless we paid it. I understood and was going to write a check when I reconsidered because it took being on hold for 15 minutes for them to answer me. Worst customer service - very rude and could not help with troubleshooting the alarm in any way.
I moved into a house with an Amherst Alarm system and I’ve been trying to get them to activate the system for almost a month. I’ve called multiple times and left many messages for the sales team. Customer Service says I have to call sales but sales never answers the phone, and only called back once to ask a few questions but didn’t schedule any technician visit to set up the system. If you’re choosing a new system, stay away from this company because their setup time and communication are very bad.
Jason is a fantastic worker! We so appreciate his help, as this was a tricky situation with our camera. He has infinite patience, and is very kind. Thank you so much for sending him!
If I could give zero starts I would. Horrible customer service. Bad business contract practices.
