Amgen conducts invasive chemical and toxicity testing on beagles. For weeks these dogs are exposed to toxins to evaluate the impact on major organs. The toxins are administered through forced ingestion, forced inhalation via masks, or intravenous injections. Many dogs end up with uncontrollable seizures, organ failure - or worse. It's horrifying. There are many alternative testing modalities available. It's time to fund the development of alternatives, not antiquated animal testing.
