I was assigned one of many nurse practitioners, who in this person's case had also earned a "doctor" designation, but who had neither an M.D. designation, nor a PhD (both require 4 to 5 years of full time schooling. Nurse Practitioners can be VERY GOOD at whatever they may do. But, as it is with physicians (Medical Doctors, or M.D.'s) ALL with the same designation of some comparable amount of training, etc., does NOT indicate at all comparable competency, ability, or understanding.
