It was closed but we were still able to get a personal tour from our friend who grew up there
INKED 9/2024 60 miles east of Memphis: Within 18,400-acre historic Ames Plantation, a 5,477 acre tract will soon become Tennessee’s newest State Forest. The Hobart Ames Foundation has partnered with the University of Tennessee’s AgResearch and Ed Center to maintain and study the land and its history.
Ames plantation is gorgeous. My grandfather built stables and barns for them back in his day, very glad to see they are still up and well maintained.
