UPDATE: Contact eventually made and refunded, however, Ames need to take accountability for the problem. I was told to ensure in future I check before buying. This pot was fine in store but developed this reaction and mark immediately upon use. Ames need to take accountability for their products and not ask the customer to. I had an issue with a Nylex 20m retractable hose reel that was out of warranty but Trish from AMES Australasia customer service was very understanding, incredibly helpful, very responsive and out of goodwill provided me with details as to how I could get a replacement hose reel free of charge. Had enquiry regarding one of their products that I purchased from our local hardware store as incorrect advice re product given by hardware store member. AMES Customer Experience staff member (Trish) provided excellent service, was very helpful and professional, went out of her way to ensure I was provided with the correct product and without further cost.
This company is a joke. In only 3 years out our Hills foldable clothesline is rusting from the inside out. Rust is staining out clothes. Their products don’t even last more than 3 years and btw their 10 year warranty is rubbish as they don’t back their products. Received a response from AMES “The product team have advised that the surface rusting of part of normal wear and tear for the product”. What a joke! Normal wear and tear!
