My family will no longer use this clinic. The business office was incredibly rude to me throughout the entire call, from the very start. There was no sympathy regarding my concerns of overbilling and the challenges around exploring these details, as it's for my teenage child and HIPAA prevents me from viewing details/EOB. My child was seen at the New Richmond clinic and the Amery clinic for same concern. For some reason, the appt was about $100 more and the lab fees were about $200 more in Amery than New Richmond. I was a therapy dog handler volunteer there 3 times. I stopped volunteering because my therapy dog was spreading germs between patients and sanitizing the dog between patients was not feasible nor adequate, and some times my dog was roughly handled by patients. The volunteer coordinator put a replica photo of my dog on their float in a parade after I had quit, and several months later reported to the media that I had gone on hold for personal reasons. Having received care at clinics/hospitals in several locations, Amery Hospital & Clinic has continuously met or exceeded our expectations of care for our entire family. As a large family, we see 3 different providers on a routine basis, in addition to the occasions we have needed Urgent Care or the Emergency Department, and not once have I felt that we didn’t receive the care we needed.

I would give zero stars if it was an option. My husband was under the care of Sarah Knutson and she never followed up with any calls my husband made. She didn’t do her job as a health care provider and screwed my husband over on his short term disability claim. Do not let Sarah be your care provider. She never called him back after his imaging she ordered of his kidney stones. No follow up care or follow through with paperwork.
