They do not have anyone working in the local office. You are going to talk to someone overseas that can not give you the personalized local service you will need. They called and confused the elderly lady that previously owned my house and tried getting her to commit to a refill despite her telling them she sold the house. I then called a day later and told them to remove the tank and they refused. Saying they needed her to cancel and ask for it to be removed.

Avoid this propane supplier at all cost. They were the supplier to the home I moved into. When I took over the account the propane cost was competitive with the market ($1.859/gal). After 1 year they made the cost $3.289/gal. (77% increase). They surely made back any profits they may have missed out on during that introductory period. I feel sorry for anybody that does not check their invoices or have awareness of what the cost of propane should be. Amerigas offers no customer support locally. Very disappointed. We had decided to change propane suppliers as the labor house was utilized three months out of the year resulting in rental charges for propane tanks during the off season. A locally owned and operated propane supplier was able to provide our needs more economically overall. Please note that when we call Amerigas for sales, we speak to someone in this country but when we call for service, billing, etc., we speak to someone off shore.
