They give you an online quote to start service for a new home. Came out for site survey (which they were late for) then sent me another quote for $1200 more than the original quote. And now that I said absolutely not and will not get service through you they still want me to pay $225 for them coming out for site survey. Had I known it was going to cost $1200 just to put a tank in I would not have had you come out in the first place. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! Hidden fees. They do not have anyone working in the local office. You are going to talk to someone overseas that can not give you the personalized local service you will need. They called and confused the elderly lady that previously owned my house and tried getting her to commit to a refill despite her telling them she sold the house. I then called a day later and told them to remove the tank and they refused. Saying they needed her to cancel and ask for it to be removed.
Avoid this propane supplier at all cost. They were the supplier to the home I moved into. When I took over the account the propane cost was competitive with the market ($1.859/gal). After 1 year they made the cost $3.289/gal. (77% increase). They surely made back any profits they may have missed out on during that introductory period. I feel sorry for anybody that does not check their invoices or have awareness of what the cost of propane should be. Amerigas offers no customer support locally.
