Amerigas mis-charged me this year for a service they said they provided over 3 years ago with no explanation or proof of service. We are now in the fourth month of dispute. I have not used Amerigas for nearly 4 years, and would never use them again under any circumstance. Or recommend them to anyone. Beware if you do business with this company. As you can see from all the fraudulent billing issues, they are not an ethical company.
Amerigas scheduled a delivery for 7:30 am for a vacant home. Someone was there to meet them and no call or cancellation. The automated system says delivery will occur “by end of day.” Are you kidding me ?
This is honestly the worst company I have ever worked with. We closed our account with them, years later they have continued billing us for serviced we are not receiving, including tank rental fees and a tank removal fee for a tank they never removed. After months of trying to resolve the problem, and a combined total of over 10 hours on hold we got a letter stating that they sent us to collections, but on the same day we got a credit memo saying they now owe us money. 3 months in and it's just getting worse.
Deliveries have been failing because they don't have my updated gate code. The delivery failure text message says someone will contact me, but no one ever does. Calling their local office number just sends you into the broken automated system that eventually hangs up on you because wait times are too long. There's no way to update the gate code through the website either. I feel like I have no choice but to switch companies at this point.
