I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but after being with this company for over nine years, I’m extremely disappointed. Despite the time and loyalty, they still can’t seem to get my home information correct. I’ve received orders I never placed, and the customer service has been consistently unhelpful and frustrating. Unfortunately, this has been the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I truly expected better after nearly a decade of being a customer.

Company has charged me a few times for leak checks on my propane tank for no reason. I never reported a leak nor was that the reason why I even needed the propane. I reported it to BBB, but AmeriGas didn’t even respond. One rep told me there is a state law that allows them to charge for leak checks ($140), as stated, I never reported one. They are taking advantage of people who ran out of propane by the time they FINALLY made the delivery. It takes them 7 to 10 business days to come out when you request a delivery. Bought a home with a leased Amerigas propane tank. Decided not to use them and emailed, postal mail and called to have them remove the existing old tank 40% full of propane. Two months later, no response, no action. Called today, sat on hold 28 minutes without speaking to anyone. Plan to file a CT Dept of Consumer Protection complaint within 24 hours.
