Garbage, de-localized customer support. You're current customer service representatives do not know or care a thing about any customer, and it shows. A blank wall of nameless, faceless, foreign ESL robots in call centers designed to simply wear you out, when I want to know why I'm paying a LOT more than anyone around me. Amerigas is currently attempting to charge us for 168 gallons when the invoice left in our door states 70 gallons. On 4/1, we were told the issue would be investigated and we would hear back within 3 hours. After 6 days of silence, we called them twice, and after being on hold for another 70 minute, the issue remains unresolved. We were told we would be transferred to our local department in Colchester, CT and instead were transferred to Ohio. Every representative has told us something different. Company has charged me a few times for leak checks on my propane tank for no reason. I never reported a leak nor was that the reason why I even needed the propane. I reported it to BBB, but AmeriGas didn’t even respond. One rep told me there is a state law that allows them to charge for leak checks ($140), as stated, I never reported one. They are taking advantage of people who ran out of propane by the time they FINALLY made the delivery. It takes them 7 to 10 business days to come out when you request a delivery. Terrible service
During the recent snowstorm, we were very frustrated with Amerigas’ service. Daily phone calls to customer service about the dangerously low percentage of propane left in our tank resulted in no deliveries. After two weeks, a partial delivery arrived. Just this week, another delivery arrived and the cost per gallon was nearly $4 - outrageous! Had the previous delivery filled our tank, we would not be paying this ridiculous price per gallon.
