I’ve had 2 gas leaks in the last 2 years. Each time, the repair tech came out (a week after notification) and determined it was AmeriGas equipment that failed. I finally decided to close my account 2 months. I haven’t been able to get in touch with a US based rep yet to schedule pick up and the empty tank is still sitting in my driveway. Save yourself the trouble and go with a local company, not one that runs everything through overseas call centers.
poor customer service, outrageous pricing, terrible "automatic" delivery (left us without heat, with a toddler for up to a week)
I had questions, and although there were no major issues with my delivery, support is all offshore and they are terrible, with poor English and not versed in the handling of problems or questions.
Cannot recommend Amerigas. Be aware that the company does not allow their people to work on appliances using propane and will not meet a repair person at specific times. They are not to be recommended based on our experience. Beware ! Find a local dealer who stands behind his service.
Did not deliver on time. Overfilled the tank. Continued to call the tank 200 gallons even though it was 500 and then put 280 gallons in it anyway. The whole yard smelled like propane for days after. Wasted gas and money.
