Moved into a home that had a tank from Amerigas. Had to pay nearly $500 to have their rusty tank removed plus early termination fee. Double the price of the locally owned company I switched to. All the customer service is handled overseas. Shameful company. You can see why this company is no longer publicly traded.
My Dec 15, 2025 order was initially not delivered because AmeriGas "had a problem locating [my] property." We have been customers for years and the house has not moved, so that made no sense. We explained this to customer service by phone, and were assured that the order would still arrive within its originally estimated date range. It did not. highest price of any supplier. worst customer reps ever
AmeriGas has terrible customer service. My new tank was installed without a gauge to monitor the amount of gas, even though I requested it. I was told a representative would call to set up remote monitoring, and I never received a call. My contract has not been amended appropriately despite many calls. I was not informed of a scheduled delivery as requested. I am thinking of exploring other propane gas companies given the terrible customer service.
