Do not use Amerigas until they are able to correct the communication issues others are describing below! I started my account over 5 years ago and did not have any issues at all as I was able to talk to someone local in the office. Now their local number transfers to a call center. Ill just say that english is not their first language and conversation is difficult. A simple request to cancel auto delivery turned into 20 minutes and a 10 minute hold. Since COVID, this business has NO ONE in the office, or, on-site. I have been completely unable to conduct any business with them. I have stopped trying.
Very poor customer service! Since Covid, get sent to a 800 number in the lower48 and I am on hold for 4-6hours! Had them come out and pick up a tank from my garage. Paid the fee then I find out they say I owe them over $600 had no deliveries since they came and got the tank. Then one day, a driver calls me and says he will be delivering me propane tomorrow that I ordered. Never ordered propane and then he gives an address in Ninana which I havee never lived i! So were they making me pay for others propane?
Terrible customer service. Locked one my several tanks for superficial reasons and now wants to charge just to unlock it....not to do any work on it. Amerigas also plays the game of resetting the price each year to the highest rate, even though we are eligible for bulk discounts. They don't change it until I call and complain, then I receive the "We're sorry, that was an accounting mistake". This has happened every year for the past decade.
