If you are looking for a provider and aren't stuck with this company I would use anyone else. They're expensive and are very out of touch with the people they serve.
Update: The saga continues. Amerigas has supposedly brought their customer service organization back to the US which I had hoped would improve things, but not so fast. The latest nightmare is their inability to withdraw funds from an open and working bank account on auto pay for a $600 delivery. Then charging me a late fee for their problem. I cannot begin to express how horrible this company has been to our family. There’s been so much dishonesty and inattentiveness and failure to hold up to their contract that it is hard for me to know where to begin with my complaint. I can only caution you to please consider a local company rather than this one.
If I could give Amerigas 0 stars I would. Their service is beyond terrible. After being a customer for 15 years they switched our account away from auto delivery without our knowledge. We subsequently ran out of gas. When we placed an "emergency" delivery in winter it took 2 days to arrive and we were told we must be home in order to receive the delivery although they could not specify what time they would come. We were sent a flyer from Amerigas to the house we bought to get 25% our first tank fill so we were super excited to save the money. I called twice and requested a call back due to hour long wait time and I never received a call back. After spending an hour on the phone and being disconnected TWICE from two different representatives who put me on hold to get a manager to apply the promo code, the third representative said that offer is not available for my area because we are not getting a new tank.
