Reading all of the positive reviews makes me wonder if we're talking about the same builder. This company and the people in the Chesapeake office are horrible. We've been building with them for 18 months (just missed our second loan extension) and still don't have a completed house. We should have known after the first few meetings with the office staff that this would not go well, as the communication during those first few meetings was very ineffective and nothing was ever done on time. They built me an amazing home that my wife and i absolutely love. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They helped me all throughout the process and made it all very easy for my wife and I. Big shoutout to Jerald for the beginning process and walking through all of our options along with meeting all our needs and expectations. Working with Andy was an absolute pleasure as well. 11/24/2018 (first review 5 star) So far so good. We are in Virginia Beach. My wife and I selected AHP to build our custom home despite some negative reviews about AHP in other states. We were skeptical first but when we met with Steve Lang, the president, and his team we found them technical expertise, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We have already signed the contract.
