This is just the kind of hotel I like: nice, clean, & everything works for a reasonable price.
Nice clean comfortable rooms. The building is a little dated, but it's kept clean. The location is easy access to the Main Streets in Sandpoint, and we learned our way around pretty fast. There's a wonderful local grocery store just around the block for almost anything that you need for food or drink.
It was disappointing that the pool was not in function but in this case we were not planning to use it anyways. However, I may be wise to call in advance and check. Victoria at the front desk was terrific and helpful (I had to borrow a screwdriver and she came back in overtime to assist). It is Best Value so not Best Western but good value indeed with all the essentials.
The hotel charged a $50 damage deposit as a condition to check -in then kept the deposit without explanation.
Really a great bang for your buck. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast boxes were great!! So quiet too! There is a bit of an old cigarette smell in the hallways. Service was good! Overall it was a comfortable cheap place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!
