I went her because my usual location could not fit me in via my schedule. That was a huge mistake. This location gave me a 3 week window, as opposed to the normal 2 week window. After 4 weeks, contacted them since I had not heard from them AT ALL. They said something about a mixup, but that my glasses were ready. I drove the hour round trip to pick my two pairs of glasses up - only to discover they put my distance prescription into both glasses, when one pair was supposed to have a reading prescription. I have been with American Best for years they are always professional and kind! Being a Army disabled veteran we don't get to much respect anymore as far as what we have sacrificed to keep everyone safe.I want to shout-out to Dana store manager for tAmerican Best in Mohegan Lake NY for taking the time to help me before I get on the road! Honestly a very negative experience. My eye exam was good and professional which is why it's 2 stars instead of 1 star, but my experience of picking and purchasing glasses was awful. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years, so this isn't my first rodeo. Firstly, I came in wanting to get my glasses repaired. They insisted I should do an eye exam and pick out new glasses first since my prescription was outdated, and then they'd try to repair my current glasses at the end if my eyesight hadn't changed too much.
