Going Above and Beyond to Help Me. When I got my Florida drivers license I had a cataract and America's Best, North Port tested my vision and supplied a form stating my vision was good enough to drive, but should be checked in 2 years - this would after the cataract was removed. I received the Notice from Florida that my exam was due, while I was in Maryland. I had my checked at America's Best in Annapolis MD. You get what you pay for. I went in having issues, headaches etc, I hadn't had glasses since my eye injury so I was desperate and was excited by the price. I have had bifocals since I was 11 and that's been several years ago. When I got my exam she acted like my double vision was no issue and bifocals weren't necessary, although I cant see the screen on my phone which is large. GREAT sales people, TERRIBLE sale. I was TOTALLY deceived by America's Best 2 pair for 69.95 deal. Of course the lenses have to be an inch thick unless you want to upgrade to a lense of reasonable thickness that costs $90 PER PAIR. and the frames? STILL 69.95. So that comes to uh.... $250 (WHAT?! HOW?!) I regret not walking out at this point. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional. I will never go back, and neither will anyone that knows me.

Wonderful Wait This place is hands down the WORST place to go for eyeglasses. It's like getting sucked into a black holeI would rather pay 10 times as much for only ONE pair of glasses, if it means I can get out of thier office in less than 3 hours. And try calling in, you'll be on hold for no less than 30 minutes. And the "two pair" deal they run, well it''s a complete bait and switch. They lure you in with the low price, but only have MAYBE 2 frames to choose from, and they're both ????. OH, but you can upgrade to more exp... read more

Bait and Scam on Glasses. Rude Customer Service They bait you in with the $49.95 two pair of glasses that are ugly and cheapo that you wouldn't want to wear them and choose higher quality design frames which are way more expensive. Not only that, they charge extra for anti scratch, anti glare, etc.. that most other places offer for free. The Eyecare plan seems like a great deal, but it is SO NOT worth the hassle, and attitude that they give you. America's Worst While their prices may be low their workmanship is equally low. I purchased two pairs of glasses with the 69.99 promotion but ended up paying 350 after all the add-ons and upgrades the after the glasses came in they were the wrong prescription. After calling attention to this the tech talked to her manager it was implied that they would be good enough and that I should just take them. I told them I wanted them fixed. bad policy scratched my glasses at work and work decided to repair them. I went there and they wouldn't fix them without an appointment saying my perscription has is expired. I don't qualify for a exam for 6 months so I suspect I go without them until then. You should change your policy. I just wanted the lens fixed and you would have been paid. but now you have lost a customer but you are porbably used to it.
