It’s not the easiest thing in the world to find a repair station for an inkjet printer. I was cleaning the nozzles of my Epson R280 and inadvertently left underneath the print head a strip of cardboard I was using to catch the nozzle leakage. The print head ‘ate’ the cardboard strip and the unit became inoperative, flashing red warning signals, indicating a foreign body in the mechanism (which I couldn’t see).
