My closing was scheduled on the day right after hurricane Beryl hit Houston. Millions lost power, AC, and internet. Business were closed and roads blocked. This title office was closed too with no power to run AC and essential office equipment. Yet buyer's lender mandated the closing to be completed on the scheduled date - or else it will be a make-or-break. Out of desperation I called the manager Shirley.
