I have been a frequent tanner with american tanning since roughly 2009. I love it...agree with the lotion being high and some of the employees being rude but overall I wouldnt go any place else. Paul and his wife (the owners) are very knowledgable with tanning however it seems if you apply for a job and have any amount of pudge on your body they deny you. Im not fat but curvy. Last Tuesday I went to go tan, they took my money and then told me that I could not use oil on the beds, I said ok,,, but they also said the next time I come in to use cream,, That it was ok to use oil this last time. Because she took my money before she told me about not using oil. I had no problem, In doing that... Went to wal-mart to go get cream, right after that. I have been to a variety of tanning salons throughout Canton, Massillon, North Canton, etc. One and one only particularly caught my attention. I think most of us tanners are in the same boat regarding health issues, cleanliness, and pricing. I particulary do not like to spend a huge amount of money for packages and single visits. I can agree with the review given previous to mine. Completely- hands down. Just dont buy the lotions there- I paid 60.00 for the Almost Famous Australian Gold which is an amazing lotion, but ebay it for yourself and see, its not above 25 dollars. The lotion prices are ridiculous. After I realized how overpriced they were, I called in to speak with the manager for a price match or a refund of some sort- she offered to me the 6% off refund of 9 dollars since the girl who sold it to me didnt even give me the price that it was ... read more
