The timeshare industry is a scam all the way to this company. Three years ago we gave them $10K to get us out of our Bluegreen Timeshares. They passed it off to American Recovery Advocates to handle. All they did for 3 years was send letters and wait 90 days. They advised we stop paying to show we were dissatisfied with the timeshare. American Settlements helped me legally and finally get rid of my Wyndham Timeshares. My situation was made extra complicated due to a number of factors. The process took about 1-1/2 years. When the time came to pay the interim Maintenance Fees, Am Settlements promptly paid the Invoice as was part of our Agreement. Refreshing. I am very glad to relieve my children from the burden of the ongoing Maintenance Fees.
In spite of disparaging the timeshare industry for all the sales tactics, A.S.S. practices them all. But I did enjoyed every interaction with various personnels at A.S.S. that reached out on the front end. I benefited immensely from Cassidy's presentation and learned much about the history of the industry and its financial and legal problems that I didn't. We used this company to help us cancel our timeshare. The good news, is the contract with the timeshare was cancelled, and we no longer are owners. The bad news is, during the presentation of services, lots of numbers were written down by the sales person, but he unfortunately, wrote down the incorrect numbers.
