Been with the company for almost three years. Never received a review by any of the supervisors and never received a raise in pay. Been told several times by three different supervisors (none which seem to stick around very long) that I would receive advancement. I never did. Officers get denied vacation and in time will end up losing it. Bad company to work for.

I applied for a job at the beginning of 2011. I passed all of the items they wanted and did a interview with the Site Supervisor and also the Manager of the building in Downtown Minneapolis. Paying for my own parking. I worked overnights and wanted the hours. I was told I had the job. Then I never heard from the company again. I attempted at least a dozen times to get ahold of the women who interviewed me. No Reply back. From what I can tell, doesnt sound like a very ogranized company.

American security is a poor company to work for. They are a man's man company and to keep a client they will conduct unethical practices. They have managers that will lie about you and laugh in your face telling you they can do what they want because they are untouchable. They are always loosing accounts because their pay is low and you are denied vaccations and days off so moral is low. They tell clients that their Officers get 40 hours of training but it is not true. You get three days of class room and 2 days on the job. ... read more
